Things To Know-FAQ

How are these Santa sessions different than most other Santa sessions?

Our sessions are a private, fine art experience-no crowds, no lines.  Your family enjoys a calm, magical visit with Santa, complete with interactive moments, beautiful sets, and heirloom quality images.

Where are the sessions held?

All sessions are photographed in our McAllen, TX fine art studio, designed to look like Santa's world.  Each weekend of November 7, 14, and 21 features a different holiday scene.

What products are available?

Our featured product is a custom designed 20 page storybook album, bringing your child's Santa experience to life.  We also offer a Fine Art Memory Box, prints, holiday cards, and other gift items.  See the product page for examples and pricing.

What are Christmas Card sessions?

These sessions, commonly called mini-sessions, are short and sweet-perfect for families who mainly need fabulous images for holiday cards.

For Parents Only

We ask that you bring a small, unwrapped gift that we can sneak into Santa's toy bag at the beginning of the session.  Make sure it's something you know your child will like and small enough to fit in the toy bag.  The perfect size is no larger than 6x6x6. Again, no wrapping please.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

You have reserved a studio time that we pay Santa to be here for.  If you have an emergency, please let us know as soon as possible.  We can try to fill your spot and/or, reschedule at a better time for you.

How do I order?

When your session is complete, we will schedule a time for you to return to view the images and place your order.

Is Santa Real?

Santa is absolutely real!!  Our Santa's are professionals all the way.  They know how to entertain the children and parents, they know all kinds of trivia that might be asked of them.  They are gentle, kind souls, who know how to receive the kids.  The actual Santa may vary depending on their availability.

What should my child wear for their Santa session?

We recommend classic holiday outfits — rich reds, greens, ivory, or soft neutrals photograph beautifully. Pajamas are also a popular choice for storybook sessions. Keep clothing simple and timeless, avoiding logos or busy patterns. See the suggested style guides on the home page.

How long are the sessions?

  • The Fine Art Sessions: 30–40 minutes, with interactive time designed for Santa to engage your child in a magical story.

  • The Christmas Card Session: 10-15 minutes, perfect for quick portraits for Christmas cards.

What products are available?

Our featured product is a custom-designed 20-page storybook album, turning your child’s visit with Santa into a keepsake. We also offer wall art, memory boxes, prints, and holiday cards. Christmas Card sessions include your choice of portraits for cards or prints.  All items are a-la-carte.

How soon will I receive my photos or storybook?

You’ll see your images within one week of your session during an in-studio viewing appointment. Storybooks and wall art are custom-designed and typically delivered within 3–4 weeks, in time for Christmas. Christmas card orders are designed and processed first.

Can siblings be photographed together?

Absolutely! We love capturing the joy between siblings and families.

What if my child is shy or nervous?

That’s completely normal! Our Santa is wonderful with children, and Cliff has over 30 years of experience photographing kids. Most little ones warm up within minutes.

Come ready to enjoy the session with them.  We have found that from 1-3 yrs are the most iffy with small children.  If you can sit and hold them, you might be able to slip out after they become comfortable.

What if we don't have a chimney?

Here is an idea:  Leave him a key!  Santa can let himself in with a special key only he can use.  Have your child make your own using any old key.  Add sequins, ribbon, and paper.  Have them write out: "Dear Santa, we don't have a chimney as you can plainly see, but we still want you to visit, so here is your magic key!"  Tie the note to the key, and loop the ribbon around the front doorknob.

What if my child has allergies?

Please let us know if your child has any allergies to regular milk and chocolate chip cookies.  We can provide soy milk, or you may bring your own, safe alternative.
